After a few years, I received a notice and an invitation to the Latin Sailing regatta in Murter. An event not to be missed. I meet many friends from all over. The hosts are busy with extensive organization, and the guests have the opportunity to talk and socialize. The "Bažokić" group has a special status, as they do everywhere they appear. They are always stars and are stars everywhere.

Dinner on the pier with dishes prepared the way our grandmothers used to prepare them is a top culinary event that the Ministry of Tourism and the hospitality industry should propose as an example of showcasing local gastronomy.

Also, a visit to the grave of Željko Jerat is not to be missed. The man who started all this and, with numerous friends along the entire Adriatic and in Europe, raised it to the level of a national event.

On this occasion, big news was announced for the people of Prvić and Zlarin. The Šibenik County has purchased the passenger ship Tijat. A legend that, with a little bit of cleverness, will adorn our sea festivals in the future. Read and see a few words and photos of Tijat.

Brunch on the pier before the regatta is a meeting with friends who come from nearby at the last minute. There are many of them. The Murter Latin Sailing is the largest gathering of traditional boats. Of the almost 90 boats, only half are from Murter. A large number are from the neighboring Betina, Jezera and Tisno, but the contribution of the Kvarner and Istria and Hvar fleets is significant. I do not neglect another dozen individual boats from the Zadar, Šibenik and Split areas. This brunch is important precisely because of them, and the first skipper's meeting is an opportunity to take pictures of the participants, because since we have been counting boats for years, we must now say that people are the most important. Boats may have replicas, but people do not.

At first glance, sailing was at the usual level, but there is news. Boats from Kvarner were given a competitive category, which encouraged them to sail more seriously, so they immediately appeared high in the overall ranking. Likewise, new boats and young boats are sailing better and better and announce a change of generations, or rather, they are expanding the list of favorites. Boat "Baba Majo" appeared in 2018 and immediately showed its ability to sail well. After a few years of improvement and adaptation of the boat and crew, it received a victory podium in Murter, where the competition is the strongest, so the success is significant and most prestigious.
