Croatia, represented by the Cronaves association and partners, will participate in the "Escale a Sete" festival in the French town of Sete from March 26 to April 1, 2024. During the seven days of the festival, the following will be presented to the European public:

  • Udruga Palagruza: Barake Palagružone
  • Malinska island Krk: Interpretation center "DUBoak"
  • Alternative travel agency: gajeta falkuša
  • Association for the Promotion of Croatian Maritime Heritage Cronaves: Croatian Sea Festival "Days at the Sea"; exhibition "Croatian homeland of the sea"; klapa Gabine
Participation in this festival is a great opportunity to promote Croatian tourist and nautical offers. Croatia is already perceived in France as one of the best nautical destinations, which is confirmed by numerous French tour operators and boat rental agents, according to whom Croatia has achieved double-digit growth in recent years.

The program is implemented with the support and patronage of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, the County of Split-Dalmatia, the Croatian Tourist Board, the City of Malinska, the Viški Archipelago Geopark, the TZ of the City of Split, Slobodna Dalmacija and the Dalmatian Portal.

Every second year, more than 100 large traditional ships, including the world's largest sailing ships, gather in the port of Sete. Everything takes place in a friendly atmosphere with songs, concerts and good music: more than 40 vocal-instrumental ensembles from many countries perform, appropriate lectures and exhibitions are held, sports competitions are held, and special attention is paid to culinary events. Visitors can enjoy the gastronomic Escale assiette - "docking with a good food and drink".

The festival has already been held six times, every other year. Today, Escale a Sete is an unavoidable meeting point for lovers of the sea, traditional boats, sailing boats and good entertainment. At the festival held in 2022, there were 450,000 visitors. It was the first mass gathering after the pandemic. The visitors felt an incredible and unrepeatable joy of being together again. It is useful to look at the development of the festival, from the first announcement to a world-class manifestation. More than 300,000 visitors were present at the fourth edition of the festival. The association that organizes the festival has 400 permanent members and 2,500 volunteers. Everyone who can tries to help maintain and improve the festival.
