Before any regatta, there is always the question of a key risk for the success of the event. First, we evaluated the probability of bad weather, then the lack of wind, then epidemiological measures, and now we are also monitoring the state of heat. Burtiž in Šepurina had great weather for the first few years, so attendance was high. Then there was bad weather for several years, which did not disturb attendance. Burtiž proved to be resistant to such problems. The organizational team changed several times and every time Burtiž was successful and well attended.

Although there was a risk of extreme heat, it was not hot that day, there was wind, people came, treated each other and sang. It was sung with pleasure at the top of its voice. Burtiž outdid himself again and confirmed the almost cult status of his favorite event. For twenty-two years, there was no mistake, so we should thank all those who worked diligently during that time and built a legend. It is not possible to live on the old glory, but there is nothing wrong with adding another stone in the building of the reputation.
