The Lateen Sail has been, for the past ten years, organizing numreous side events to accopmany their main event: lectures, singing, sailing, workshops, dinners, exhibitions and more. Sometimes, they are joined by their guests that organize similar events. The largest event also serves as a moment to reflect on the previous season and to make plans for the future.

The Croatian Traditional Fleet in the Gulf of Morbihan photo exhibition showed how similar events look like in the rest of Europe and sparked a discussion about the recent manifestation Dani u Vali held in Stari Grad on the island of Hvar. The conclusion was that Dani u Vali has the highest potential to become our first maritime festival that follows the european format.

For this time, I decided to film firsthand from one of the boats. I sailed with my friends from Jezera on their gajeta Norka. I might get into a position to make a good photo, but I might not as well. Nevertheless, I never regret making such a decision after we're done sailing. Just before the start, while everyone is eager to start and everyone is clumped up, I witness one of the most beutiful scenes of any regatta: lots of boats and lots of people, all together. Even though we fought hard, we didn't manage to take the lead in front. We're sailing for our enjoyment.
