Unlike last year when we hid from any group of people, we are now slightly optimistic. We've been vaccinated so we reckon we're not clay pigeons in front of a swinging covid-19. We have a good chance of ending the pandemic. A few years ago, before each regatta, there were a lot of questions and a lot of answers. Wind, rain, disbelief, bonaca are the little things in front of the unknown covid-19.
For the first time, a regatta is being organized in Tisno, Jedrom po korentu. Starting a new regatta in these circumstances is a celebration of life. Strong desire is more than just optimism. As a little child who wants to breathe, wants to run, wants to swim, wants to sing, wants to row so the people of Tisno want to sail. They have to sail. The new regatta needs people, boats, friends who will sing songs of joy. And it was almost everything. The south wind, which blew quite a nice 5-6 knots at sea level at a height of over 6 meters, blew over 20 knots. Not for sailing our transport gajetas and leuts.
There have been regattas these years that have been judged successful even though no sailing has taken place. A lot of elements are needed for success, and there were enough of them in Tisno. The regatta is a collective name for the whole event that celebrates the sea, boats and friendship. Of course with a song and a good bite. The voyage was first planned at 2 p.m., but the south wind was amplified. Well, maybe at 15, it's not too late, we'll cut it short. "And wind is blowing..." We can after 5pm when the bridge goes down. "And wind is blowing..." While some sang others had to leave. "And wind is blowing..." It was not until 18:30 that we set sail for the show.
We were not afraid of the covid-19, we took care of ourselves and met friends, and we will sail in Tisno next year.
There is always news among the ships. After a few years, gajeta Dumina returned, now under Zadar license. The new gajeta of the old name in the Jezera fleet is Baba Luce. The old one went to Sukošan and sailed like Klementina. |
